On June 26 and 27, exhibition and presentation events dedicated to Russian education were held in Zambia, in the cities of Kitwe and Lusaka, on the basis of the RCSC and the University of Copperbelt, respectively. The total number of participants was more than 300 people. For the participants of the events, extensive presentations were held on the Russian education system and universities that train highly qualified personnel in the fields of medicine, agro-industrial complex, energy, mining, metallurgy, materials science, nuclear technology, the food industry, transport and space technologies. During the opening of the exhibition, in an opening address, Rector of Copperbelt University Professor Nason Ngoma noted that cooperation with Russian universities is a high priority not only for the university but also for the country as a whole, as Russia is the most promising partner for solving the problems of industrialization and the transition from raw materials to manufacturing economy. The director of the RCSC in Zambia, Alexander Gireevich Anisimov, in response to the rector’s proposal, expressed gratitude and willingness to attract Russian universities to participate in the Center’s project. He also thanked RUDN University for organizing the exhibition in Kitva and noted that it was thanks to the Cluster Approach project that the development of relations in the field of education in Zambia was actively moving forward.
As part of the exhibition, graduates of Russian universities presented the program NUST “MISiS”, NRU “MPEI”, PFUR, University of Food Production, SFU and TPU.
During July, Russian Education exhibitions will be held in Livingston and Choma.
